Nikita began training in martial arts at age 7 with Horangi Taekwondo (ITF) in Grande Prairie, AB in 2005.

Since 2006, she competed in numerous tournaments over the years placing in patterns, individual and team sparring for her divisions. 

Nikita competed internationally for Team Canada at the ITF World Cup in Brighton, England in 2012.

She attended a CTFI National Technical Seminar in Vernon, BC. 2024 led by Grand Masters.

Since 2014, Nikita has taken several Umpire Courses allowing her to judge colored belt competition at tournaments which also helps her to continue to learn at a technical level.

Previously, Nikita had been selected to attend ITF Team Canada training camps hosted in Montreal, QC in 2019, and in Regina, SK in 2023.

She earned her 1st degree junior black belt in 2011; 2nd degree junior black belt in 2014; and 3rd degree black belt in 2018.

Nikita's involvement in martial arts has taught her discipline, perseverance, courtesy, as well as a driving factor to keep learning and pursing new goals. 

Nikita is the Mom of a 3 year old and a new baby.
