With over three decades of wrestling experience, Chad brings a championship pedigree and a lifelong dedication to the sport. From competing at the highest levels of Canadian amateur wrestling to helping develop the next generation of athletes, wrestling has played a defining role in his life.
A 10-time Saskatchewan Provincial Wrestling Champion, Chad established himself as a highly accomplished competitor in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. One of his proudest achievements came in 1997 when he captured the Canadian Junior Greco-Roman National Championship in Fredericton, New Brunswick. That same year, he earned a place on Team Saskatchewan at the Canada Summer Games, representing his province on the national stage.
Chad went on to compete for the University of Regina Cougars, earning a starting position on the university wrestling team from 1999 to 2000. His years of high-level competition helped shape his technical approach to wrestling, emphasizing strong positioning, effective movement, and the ability to control an opponent.
Proving that his passion for competition remains as strong as ever, Chad returned to competitive wrestling in 2026 and captured the Alberta Masters Provincial Championship, adding another title to a career spanning multiple decades.
Throughout his coaching experience, Chad has worked with athletes of varying ages and abilities, sharing the knowledge gained from years of training and competition. He believes that successful wrestling begins with understanding the fundamentals and developing the confidence to execute techniques under pressure.
For Chad, wrestling is about more than winning matches. It’s about building discipline, resilience, confidence, and the willingness to challenge yourself. His approach to coaching reflects the lessons learned throughout his career: respect the fundamentals, put in the work, and always strive to improve.
