I started training under Master Kirby Thibeault at Muay Thai Institute (Calgary) in 2009; since there are no belt systems, I was considered an “advanced fighter” and one level below a full professional (which can only be obtained by fighting at least 3 pro fights in Thailand).
I specialized in clinch work with a focus on knees and elbows like a lot of traditional Thai Muay Thai fighters do. Of course I’ve now been training for over 3 years under Professor Bernie Antle in BJJ at Kempe.
